WA State Rep. Brandon Vick serves in the 18th Legislative district which includes Camas and parts of East and North Clark County. He and other legislators are listed as plaintiffs in a Federal Case filed on May 5, 2020 that challenges the WA statewide emergency order. The case "argues that the original justification for the emergency has passed, and the extension of the emergency powers of the Governor’s office is being done in an unconstitutional manner and not consistent with the facts," according to https://www.wethegoverned.com/corona-virus-lawsuits-against-governor-inslee-the-list/ . Links to the complaint filed and responses by the Governor are included in the article. Rep. Vick is a lifelong resident of Clark County and works at Vick Landscaping, a family owned and operated business founded by his grandfather in 1961.

A lot of taxpayer $ spent on hiring more contact tracers. Reported by the Detroit Free Press about a contact tracing contract awarded by the state, "The problem with the contract, however, was that Every Action VAN has overlapping top leadership with NGP VAN, a Washington D.C., firm that is a privately owned technology company with deep ties to Democratic and progressive campaigns. The company boasts on its website that it helped elect President Barack Obama and U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Even Whitmer and U.S. Sen. Gary Peters, D-Michigan, have used the company for software services for their campaign."
