Monday Zoom Council Meeting Video Link

WATCH Camas wanted to make sure and surface this for any neighbors that missed the Monday meeting. This video link was just posted today in the Monday regular council meeting's meeting details page and not in the traditional spot for meeting video.

Zoom does make recordings available immediately after a meeting concludes for all attendees. The city chose to disable that ability for citizens to record their own version of the Zoom meeting making them the only holder of the broadcast. The took two days to post the link without a cited reason for doing so? They also posted it in a harder to find area on the city's website without explanation as all other meeting videos are hosted in the same area. If anyone was somehow able to capture a recording of that live video on Monday night, please send to WATCH Camas to compare at watchcamas@gmail.com

NOTE: The city posted this video as a Vimeo link. Worth pointing out as the city exclusively posts video to YouTube of every single other Zoom meeting these days in the city/staff updates hosted by the mayor. It turns out that only past council chamber meeting videos are archived through Vimeo. We haven't seen any other regular city videos uploaded through Vimeo recently, though it does seem to be the preferred platform for Camas city consultants (As with this roundabout animation purchased from PBS USA).

Does this suggest that all city meeting videos potentially need to be processed through these consultants for approval and potential edit before the city makes them available? Why would this be when the city live streams meetings and likely has downloadable links at the conclusion of all of them as a result?
